I found something out, malls are boring. It’s all the same clothes five different stores, avoiding the guys trying to sell you a new phone plan, ten bootleg kiosks.
What’s more interesting? (if you don’t mind a bit of dust, occasional uranium glass radiation and suspicious materials) Thrift shops, antique places, flea markets. That’s where the interesting stuff is at.
Finding old tech is fun. Also, check my music collection, I'll put cassettes and CDs there.
I think that good creativity comes from a limited toolset. Restrictions are cool, that's why old games have such a unique feel. This goes for art, visual, music or whatever. Grab a limited set of tools and see what you can come up with.
Lately I have been looking more into analog media, synthesizers, and things that while inconvenient, have a lot of character. Sure you can stream anything you want at any time, but are you really enjoying the whole experience? Or does it feel a bit lifeless? When was the last time you saw a CRT screen just showing static, or heard the mechanical sounds of a cassette player?
So yea, intentional simplicity can go a long way, it's not about being outdated, it's about choosing the best aspects and limitations and doing something with it.

Some cool stuff have happened recently, finally got a small CRT that I'm using as an extra computer monitor, and it's awesome. Tbh, games and media made for a CRT, should be played there, no fancy filters can properly emulate that experience with modern screens.
But yea, another cool thing, thermal printers, specifically receipt paper ones. The paper rolls are cheap, ink is infinite cuz it uses heat, great for small ads with QR codes. So if you see one in the wild, It will most likely bring you here or send you to the gallery.
One last thing for now, my shcedule will finally change to 3 day weekends again, that means more art and project time. Also, check the gallery, there's some more stuff there.
Hello, just living a normal life, trying to find fun stuff to obsess about. For example, cassettes, analog and physical media. Got a nice cassette player, some good speakers, an amp, and yea, sounds awesome.
It's interesting, because things like cassettes,CDs and CRT TVs are inconvenient compared to newer things like streaming, flat TVs, social media... but there's something sexy about playing a cassette on a good system and just existing in that moment.
But anyway, art? still doodling and adding stuff to the gallery. Maybe do some nicer colored traditional art soon? eh. The doodles tho, I want to print a few as stickers and maybe give them away with a QR to this website on the back. It's just that it's kinda weird to do that at random places, I haven't been much to events and conventions lately.
Work has been more demanding lately, but somehow more fun? Long commute, yea, but whatever, I’m just listening to full music albums while I’m at it.
On the artsy stuff, I have been looking for convenient ways to put out doodles and fun stuff, honestly, I don’t feel like I have enough time for fancy set ups, and Im a fan of nostalgic devices, like the 3DS, chonky machines, CRT screens, and stuff like that.
So I’m putting it out there, whatever doodles I come up with I’ll throw them in the new gallery section. (Also made the email unclickable on the page cuz it bothered me)
It's been a busy week, work was hard but somewhat satisfying, hehe. Still learning a lot, and figuring out how to become a coding nerd starting from no experience... but it's really cool, I had no idea how some things worked.
Other than that, I've been planning on using my 3DS more like a portable studio tool, for pixel art, music and whatever. The issue I have is that I need to find a way to send files easily from the 3DS to my phone like through WIFI or something. (taking out the sd card is annoying)
Hey what's up? I didn't expect this to be a short work week, but hey, kinda nice. Anyway, I've been learning a lot lately, doing my normal stuff, learning what a git is... and I'm like, cool, I guess it's never too late to become a coding nerd. Still got a long way to go, but I feel like this is what I needed, to start tying together my interests, bits of art, writing, and weird obsessions into a neat little packet.
Also, trying to stay away from social media (psst, it's a waste of time, take a break every now and then), and turning my attention to cooler stuff like old websites, vintage tech and stuff like that.
Oh, and I added a drawing pad to the site, check out "Signal Pad" and send me some stuff.
When I was a kid, my parents bought me a microscope. Yea, I've always been a science boy, my favorite cartoon was Dexter's lab. That cartoon always managed to be funny without being too corny with the science themes... I mean, still a carton so it's all fiction, but I like the way they did it (the two first seasons at least). It's funny how I ended up with a personal microscope again after so many years. And I like that thing so much that I dedicated a section of the site to it.
Ideally, I'll get to take it in a few trips to the park, or to places where I can find interesting bits of stuff to look at. Anyway, expect more in the future.
There's something nice about coding while a kitten lays on your lap. But yea, nice day today, sunny, weekend... Who knows, maybe I'll draw something or do something creative.
I do have some ideas for other sections in this site, like, a gallery of pictures I've taken with my microscope, and some info.
And also my plans with making an autonomous AI brain daemon thing. That will also include info about Vesper. I bet you wanna know who she is.
Started building this site. Should have done this sooner, but here we are. I've always wanted a website just to post whatever.
